The Adventures of Josie True is a web-based historical adventure game for girls –generally geared for ages 9 – 11. Josie True travels across time and space as she tries to find her missing inventor/science teacher Ms. Trombone. Along the way, students play fun activities to help Josie and her iCat in their search. Visit Chicago and then Paris. Meet historical figures such as Bessie Coleman, the world’s first African-American woman aviator.
The materials are based upon a 5th grade school curriculum. The site was created in partnership with girls at several school districts, as well as educators and families. It emphasizes skills in math, science and language arts.
