Integrating Units: A Planning Guide for Teachers

This planning guide was designed by educators at High Tech High, a project-based learning high school in San Diego, CA. It incorporates the design principles of personalization, real life connection, and common intellectual mission. It is based on HTH projects that cut across subject area boundaries, and integrate curriculum planning. This planning guide offers teachers a method for working together to plan integrated units. But it can also be adapted by individual teachers, especially where the teacher is responsible for more than one subject area.
